Overview
By connecting your myHERD account to Halter, you can record herd information once in myHERD and have it flow straight through to Halter. Heat detection events from Halter are sent back to myHERD. This saves you entering the same information into both systems.
What data syncs between myHERD and Halter
From myHERD to Halter:
Animal attributes
Tag number
EID
Date of birth
Reproduction data
Calving date
Lactation number
Inseminations / Mating date
Pregnancy test date and results
Dry-off date
Do not breed
From Halter to myHERD:
Heat detection events
Matings and calvings sync within about two hours of being entered in myHERD. A full sync runs every night.
Note: For artificial breeding (AB), matings sync whether they are entered by a CRV technician or done DIY.
How to connect your myHERD account to Halter
To connect your myHERD account to Halter, follow these steps:
Select the 'More' tab and contact the support team in the Halter app.
Request a myHERD CRV Integration Token.
Our support team will arrange for your integration details to be sent directly to myHERD.
myHERD will configure the integration on their end.
Once set up, your data syncs automatically. No further action is required.
Note: If you have multiple farms or runoff farms, let Halter support know which farm or farms to set up the integration for.
If you contact myHERD first, they will get in touch with Halter to set up the integration for you.
Changing your myHERD sync settings
Sync settings for the myHERD integration are all controlled on myHERD's end.
