How to scan collars and assign ear tags
Select the 'More' tab
Select 'Collars'
Select 'Scan collar' and select 'Add new collar'
Select 'Scan collar'. Scan the collar using the NFC reader on your phone.
Once successful, select the appropriate mob and select 'Next'. This will remain the same until you choose to change it.
Enter the animal's ear tag and select 'Assign'
If you want to change your mob, select 'Change'
If you have alphanumeric tags, you can select 'ABC'
If you enter an ear tag that has been previously used on your farm, you will be prompted to choose from the following options:
This is the same cow: use this option if you are replacing a collar on the same animal. This transfers all the behaviour and reproduction data to the new collar
This is a different cow: use this option if the previous animal has been culled or removed from the farm, and the ear tag number is being reused on a new animal.
Select 'Assign'.
Success!
Once the collar is assigned to the ear tag, you will get a success message. You are ready to scan your next collar.
